How are suppliers listed?
Listing is free and sorted A to Z. Details come from each company’s own website, and delivery areas appear only where the company states them. We have no prices from any Australian supplier, because none we could read published one.
Who sells which brand?
| Brand | How you buy it, as the maker or distributor says | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| ClickDeck (Exolux) | Australia-wide through stockists and distributors; each has a “Get a Quote” option | Listed stockists include Dahlsens in New South Wales and independent timber merchants in New South Wales and Queensland; lead times are stated two different ways on its own site, so don’t rely on one |
| Ekodeck | Exclusively partnered with Bunnings since 2009; enquiries go to a Bunnings Trade Desk | Bunnings pages returned an error when we checked |
| Futurewood | Says it services all of Australia, with an enquiry form, an instant estimate tool and a phone line, 1300 484 308 | Whether it sells direct or through stockists isn’t confirmed |
| NewTechWood | Distributed by Urban Direct Wholesale, at wholesale pricing, with a reseller application | The site lists Avenue, Commercial, Coastal and Terrace decking and deck tiles; no prices |
| ModWood | Find and Buy page, sample packs, and an accredited installer directory | The stockist page we tried returned a 404 |
| Millboard | Concept Materials is named as exclusive distributor | The Millboard Australia site refused our connection this time |
What do merchants offer?
Dahlsens’ homepage says it has more than 70 locations, though an icon on the same page says 60, so we don’t give a number. It lists a decking and decking supplies category, a 30 day account, a Trade Desk and delivery. It also hosts a NewTechWood product brochure. The page doesn’t show decking prices.
What we couldn’t check
Bunnings, Bowens, Mitre 10 and Tradelink returned errors, and Trex Australia’s own domain was unreliable (trexaustralia.com.au redirected to an unrelated site, so we don’t use it). We add each company once its details are verified. To compare boards before you ask for quotes, see the boards table and best brands, and put the quotes into the cost calculator.
Questions
Where can I buy composite decking in Australia?
Through the makers' stockists and merchants. ClickDeck lists stockists in several states including Dahlsens branches, Ekodeck says it has been exclusively partnered with Bunnings since 2009, NewTechWood is distributed by Urban Direct Wholesale, and Futurewood says it services all states and territories.
Does Bunnings sell composite decking?
Ekodeck's site says it is exclusively partnered with Bunnings and sends decking enquiries to a Bunnings Trade Desk. We couldn't read Bunnings' own pages, so we have no prices or range from Bunnings.
Can I get samples?
ModWood's site links to a sample pack order page. We found no sample terms for the other makers on the pages we could read.
Are there trade accounts?
Dahlsens says it offers a 30 day account and a Trade Desk, and Urban Direct Wholesale invites resellers to apply. Terms aren't published, so ask.
